What goes up
Must come down
A painful lesson learned when I was ten
Life hasn’t been the same since then
Why must the world constrain me?
If you shoot for the stars
You’ll end up behind bars
I strive to be free
But I’m bounded by this sea
I can swim but I can’t fly
All I want to know is why?
Am I doomed to fail?
Is my ship too big to sail?
If only I were a whale
Then I wouldn’t have to wait on the mail
Let your mind wander
And your doubts just grow fonder
Shut off your mind
No doubt you’ll go blind
The world is full of contradictions
Might be time to refill your prescription
Here’s my bold prediction
Life doesn’t have a description
I’m struggling to find a perfect rhyme
In a world might running out of time
The only thing grounding me
Is the stubborn law of gravity.
